Another visit to Orsha dentistry after a year and a half. June 2022

Why and why? My brother had a problem with the crown and adjacent gum, which began to bleed. In Moscow they suggested placing a second crown next to it and not changing the first one. The price was set at 24,500 rubles. And this is not the final amount yet. A little expensive, as an alternative we went to the Orsha clinic.

I went along with the company and decided to also stop by the dentist, undergo a preventive examination, take some photos for the article and update some information, since the note on the site, judging by the comments and views, is quite popular. We combined the trip to Orsha with a short vacation in Belarus. We drove by car through Smolensk: quite quickly, the road was good.

We made an appointment by email - orstompol[gafchik]mail.ru, a few days before departure we were told when we wanted to visit the clinic, my brother described his dental problems, we were quickly and safely booked in at a time convenient for us: me - to the therapist, brother - see a therapist and orthopedist.

Unfortunately, the doctor who treated my teeth a year and a half ago no longer works in Orsha, so I was assigned to another, namely Avreitsevich Inna Igorevna. Looking ahead, I liked everything: polite, comfortable, not painful, and so far I have no complaints about the quality. So I can recommend this specialist to you too.

It’s nice that the clinic kept my medical record, opened from my last visit. Although the examination by the therapist was preventive (the teeth didn’t bother me at all), they still found one regular caries and one in a mild form, and the doctor also suggested straightening the two rear outer teeth (more precisely, the spaces between the teeth) to make them easier clean and nothing gets stuck there; I don’t remember what this procedure is called, but the amount of work involved was no less than with caries.

Before starting treatment, keeping in mind one of the comments to this article (they say, suddenly there is not enough money), I asked about the estimated cost of the work and received an answer: about 150 rubles. (4,700 rubles). Fine. They didn’t offer freezing this time, it didn’t hurt, all four teeth took about an hour.

Next, pay to the registry, then return with the check and contract and sign the guarantee. The total was 148 b.r. (4,600 rubles). I attach the price below.

There was a problem with the payment - the local bank terminal completely refused to accept my MasterCard “Kukuruza” card, for which there were no questions last time. The secretary explained that the terminal in the clinic was changed six months ago and now it is periodically unfriendly to some Russian credit cards (there seem to be no problems with Sberbank ones).

Having failed to pay by card, I paid in cash. It’s inconvenient, I hope that this issue will be resolved at the clinic. However, there is no need to panic and take with you a dozen credit cards from different banks and a bunch of cash. No one is tying your hands, if something happens you can safely leave the clinic, go to an ATM or exchanger, get cash and come back.

One of the advantages I can’t help but note is that now the reception desk of the orthopedic department is located next to the therapeutic room, in the common hall. This is a good decision.

Family matters

The brother first went to the therapist, here they found (and cured) two caries: deep and light; and also cleaned the canals and applied medicine to the third tooth, which had previously been noted in other dentistry as unsuitable for treatment, i.e. in fact, they wrote him off, but his brother had already given up on him. It turned out to be too early. Now he only needs to come to Orsha with this tooth one more time to remove the medicine and finally heal it. [ upd. A month later, my brother went, took off the medicine, the tooth was completed, and now everything is fine with the tooth.]

His impressions remained positive. Together with fillings, freezing and some other cosmetic therapeutic procedures, it came out to 149 rubles. (4,650 rubles).

Then, regarding his main issue (the crown and gums are nearby), he went to see an orthopedist - Yu.M. Goroshko, whom I already mentioned above.
As a result, the brother was offered the following: remove the old crown, replace it with a new one and place a second crown next to it. The approximate price for all the pleasure is already translated into 10,000 Russian rubles. In Moscow, let me remind you, it was about 24,500 rubles for one crown. Classic dental implantation in Belarus

One of the old but proven methods of treatment. Most often it is used according to two-stage treatment protocols, when 3-6 months pass between the surgical and orthopedic stages.

It can also be used in one-stage techniques, making temporary crowns immediately after surgery.
