Oral-B Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads – There are 8 different types, but to maintain good hygiene, you will only need to choose one. In fact, most types of replacement heads are just marketing products that are more intended for fans of fashionable devices than have any significant practical use.
You must understand that an electric brush is a durable product - about 3-5 years, and during this period the manufacturing company will be able to make money from you only by selling you replacement heads for the electric brush (the prices for which, it should be noted, are very high) . Below we will talk about which attachment out of all the possible options is better to choose, and which ones it is better to refuse and not waste your money.

Test of several (Chinese) ORAL-B toothbrush heads
Replacement heads for Oral BI - what they are, and is it worth buying them in Chinese stores? It happened that one day my dentist advised me to buy an electric toothbrush, I previously thought that it was all rather “for children” and did not take this seriously for myself. Doctor explained why a simple toothbrush cannot replace an electric one, especially for people prone to periodontal disease or other gum diseases. It is impossible to massage the gums with a simple brush, comparable to the massage produced by an electric brush. I really noticed that very soon my gums began to “feel much better”, although at first there was an “indescribable sensation” of shaking my head when brushing, until I got used to it and adjusted... but by the way, “that’s not what the song is about.” Naturally, after a while the only head included in the kit began to “ask” for replacement, and the replacement (as it turned out) was quite expensive. At the time when I started looking (more than a year and a half ago) from 600 rubles and above for one piece. At the same time, the Chinese had similar heads with an indecently low price tag for 4! pieces are about 60-80 rubles! — the toad won, I decided to try the Chinese! Well, as they say, “the first pancake turned out to be lumpy”, the second one too, on the third I found a more interesting option... - that’s why I decided to write this review ALL the links I ordered from are no longer valid (a year and a half has passed since the first order), but all representatives of this review can be found by typing in the search You will recognize them by their appearance Three types of attachments that have “passed” (or NOT passed) the “test of time” and by me
So the first ones were ordered like this:
This implied some kind of particularly thorough cleansing with the help of additional. rubber attachments in the brush... As it turned out later, this is not entirely the main thing... In principle, the brush itself, in terms of hardness and sensations, did not reveal any particular difference from the original one at first (though I didn’t like the rubber inserts), but after working for about a week, unpleasant sensations appeared at first “biting” the cheek with a hole with a moving rod (or rather a spring on it). This happened infrequently and more often when the battery was low. This was the first unpleasant moment, the next was the breakdown of the nozzle. Those. it just stopped spinning. Moreover, all four nozzles broke quite quickly - the average operating time of one nozzle turned out to be about 10 days From a hygiene point of view, it may have worked out well, but somehow I didn’t expect to change the attachments so often, and although it still turned out inexpensively, such a result was not interesting. What a price - such a quality - I couldn’t help but think... BUT I decided to continue the experiment, especially since the next “batch” of attachments was already on its way to meSecond type of nozzles
Unfortunately, there is no photo of the blister, but the brushes themselves (outwardly) were most similar to the original one that came with the toothbrush.
In short, history has completely repeated itself! I tried to ask the seller if there are brushes of normal quality, albeit more expensive, but NORMAL!? The seller immediately began to offer to return the money, and in short, did not answer anything about the models... however, I did not take the money, because... In principle, they are small, and the seller seemed honest.
Well, “God loves a trinity”... I decided to try my luck a third time. Another order was placed, with several different shaped attachments...
These “test” attachments passed successfully! I can’t judge the quality of cleaning (I didn’t notice much of a difference between them), except that when changing, some difference is felt. But the third type of attachments DID NOT BREAK!
Perhaps over time, something has changed with the quality of the Chinese, but I made my choice!
Photo comparison of these three types of brushes
Next is the opening of one of the nozzles, and the actual probable causes of the breakdown. in the upper part there is a lock that can be pulled out and the nozzle is partially disassembled
To disassemble it further, you need to pull out the bushing from the bottom; it is difficult to pull it out without breaking it; in this case, I simply broke off part of it to speed up and simplify “disassembly”
Location of breakdown (marked by arrow)
Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of the disassembled original, but I’ll explain it “on my fingers.” The original has a thicker “T”-shaped rod, which actually rotates the head of the nozzle, and it obviously has better welding. And, by the way, the “third type” nozzles, which did not break, also have a thicker rod and a slightly different design, due to the second moving head. As usual, the size of the nozzle...
Nozzle weight
The brush head itself...
Conclusion: I'm still buying China!
You can buy, but not all attachments...
Pros: “cheap and tasty”, in principle, maybe I’m a bad taster, but I didn’t notice much of a difference with the original. Cons - many types of attachments are VERY short-lived and have a tendency to "pinch" the cheek SOMETIMES. Although it is quite likely that this may apply to the original, I simply did not encounter this problem during cleaning.
Braun toothbrush head: price 2022
So how much does a Braun / Oral-B toothbrush head cost for 2021... We analyzed the prices in the official Oral-B online store and compared them with prices in popular online stores, and this is what we came up with.
The most affordable price for replacement tips was on the website “apteka.ru”. For example, a package of “PRECISION CLEAN 2+1” nozzles (3 pcs.) will cost you about 650-750 rubles. A package of “CROSS ACTION” attachments (4 pcs.) will cost you about 1150-1250 rubles. Slight differences in price depend on the region to which the order will be delivered. In most other online stores, the price will in any case be slightly higher, but you shouldn’t even go to the official Oral-B online store - the price there is almost 2 times higher.
Important: let us also draw your attention to the Chinese analogues of Oral-B/Braun attachments, which are sold in packs of 10 pieces. and are immediately several times cheaper than the original attachments. From personal experience, I can say that the bristles of such attachments are of such poor quality that they begin to fluff after the first 1-2 brushes of the teeth (after which the attachment can be immediately thrown away).
